I'm Brian Berger, M.D. -- a physician and surgeon, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the retina and virtrous of the eye. Because these problems are highly specialized, I work as a consultant, seeing patients who are referred to me by other doctors. My training includes the University of Chicago Medical School, internship, three-year residency in ophthalmology, and a year-long fellowship studying retinal diseases. After teaching at the Texas A&M University Medical School, I began private practice in Austin in 1984. I now teach ophthalmology students at the Univeristy of Texas and also serve as Chief of Ophthalmology for the Seton Physician's Network. I have written several textbook chapters, authored over two dozen articles, and teach a course at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. |
