LUMINATE CLINICAL TRIALS
Investigational LX211 to control eye inflammation in Uveitis patients
Uveitis is a disease which causes inflammation in parts of the eye and
can lead to blindness. In many cases the inflammation is caused by a response
from the body’s immune system.
The LUMINATE (Lux Uveitis Multicenter Investigation of a New Approach
to TrEatment) research study is evaluating the use of LX211 in patients
with uveitis. LX211 is an immunosuppressive agent that is being evaluated
for its ability to decrease inflammation in the eye. LX211 is taken in
pill form and is being studied in over 1,000 patients worldwide.
